Appearance[]

As the name implies, Tarantutor is an enormous spider. Although, he has only six legs instead of eight, each hairy, and with three toes. He has a face resembling a goblin, with fangs and horns. He has a large, bouncy abdomen, with a part on the bottom that is damaged, revealing what appears to be a giant brain.

Personality[]

Tarantutor is shown to be creepily childlike. Saying things such as "Time to play!"

History[]

Yo-Kai Watch

Tarantutor is the boss of Chapter Nine - The Extreme Dare. Nate {or Katie, depending on who the player chose at the beginning of the game.} discovers an inspirited Katie {or Nate} in the boys {girls} bathroom. When suddenly, Tarantutor reveals himself to the player character and Whisper with the unsettling line of "TIME TO PLAY!" And the boss battle begins. Afterwards, Tarantutor disappears and is never seen again.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 Bony Spirits/Fleshy Souls

The player has a chance to fight Tarantutor again in a side mission, the side mission has parts very similar to the original chapter from the first game, acting as foreshadowing to his return.

Tarantutor's Battle[]

Tarantutor begins the fight by clinging to the ceiling and attacking your Yo-Kai from there. To retaliate against the Boss, you must aim at each of four front legs, stunning them one by one (You'll know that a leg is stunned because it will appear to be leaking a green goo). Once all the legs are stunned, Tarantutor will fall on the ground, revealing his weak spot- the brain on his abdomen. At this point, Tarantutor will be completely helpless, so give him your all, before he grabs the ceiling again!

Overall, this is a very, Very annoying boss. Tarantutor is capable of inspiriting all 3 Yo-Kai in your front team at once. And unless you can somehow manage to stun all his legs in a very short amount of time, canceling his Soultimate is pretty much impossible.

Trivia[]

-It is the only non-optional Boss Yo-Kai that lacks an Infinite Inferno counterpart.

-In Yo-Kai Watch 2, Tarantutor can be seen crawling on where the school's second floor would be if it wasn't made invisible to the real life player so they can see what's going on. It is unknown if this is a mistake or an intentional 4th wall break.

-In the first game, there is a small chance that Tarrantutor will get up pretty much immediately after being dropped to the ground. Due to it happening extremely rarely, it is most likely a glitch.

Origin[]

Name Origin[]
