Bio[]
Jibanyan's proud of his new spiky body. Just don't walk behind him while you're barefoot.
Appearance[]
An Ivy-green cat with a dull pink nose. It's inner-ears are dark yellow, while it's muzzle, paw tips, and chest fur are white. It wears a white collar with a dark orange sphere, and around it's stomach is a dull orange band. On it's head are nine long spikes with white and emerald coloring nearing the tips. It's tail flames are orange, yellow, and white and are also spiked. Thornyan resembles Jibanyan, but much... thornier.
Location[]
Can sometimes be found on the Yo-kai Spot "Four-Wheeled Cool". Look for a skateboard moving on its own in parking lots located in either Downtown Springdale or Shopper's Row.

Abilities and Powers[]
Thornyan has an ability called Spiky Guard which allows him to deal 1.5 damage to the opponent that attacked him when Thornyan is guarding. However, Thornyan will also take the amount of damage the opponent did (with the tradeoff guarding will reduce the damage taken around 50%) and it can not be a sorcery move. But, if he gets defeated from the attack, the ability won't work.
In the anime, Thornyan can shoot spikes when sneezing; those spikes cause the targets to catch a cold.

History[]
Trivia[]
- Thornyan evolves from Jibanyan when a Coughkoff is fused with him at Shoten Temple in Blossom Heights.
- In the Yo-kai Daijiten (yokai encyclopedia) it states, "With his dangerous body, this is a Jibanyan with more attack power. After you fight Togenyan, there'll be needles all over the place so it is dangerous to have a bare body part".
Origin[]
Name Origin[]
In English, it is "Thorn" and "nyan", the sound a cat makes.
