Throughout the city of Springdale, various traffic light push buttons are strewn about. Whether ot nor the player uses these buttons to cross the street can trigger special traffic light events.
"Good Kid Count"[]
The "Good Kid Count" is a hidden counter, increasing by one when crosswalks are crossed correctly. To cross correctly, you must push the button, and wait until the crosswalk light turns green. If you ignore the signal or cross the street with a red light, your Good Kid Count goes down by one.
Trigger Events[]
The Good Kid Count triggers two different events depending on the count amount. These two awards can be summarized as a Reward Event and Punishment Event.
Reward Event[]
When the Good Kid Count reaches +5, a sparkle will appear at the feet of your character. Check this sparkle, and a random item will be rewarded.
Punishment Event[]
If the Good Kid Count reaches -5, a Punishment Event will trigger, with Snartle appearing to punish you. Snartle is an S rated Yo-kai, and has very high attack. As the story progresses, this disparity in strength only increases, but if you manage to defeat Snartle, there is a slim chance he will join you. Snartle is very much worth getting, as his Lightning Slash attack is a triple strike that is incredibly damaging, and his Soultimate, Naughty Brats, results in a dramatic increase in strength when a Yo-kai is knocked out.
